Pulling double duty in the 410 Sprint Car and Midget ranks, Ryan Timms returned to action over the weekend on Friday at US 36 Raceway (Osborn, Mo.) as the 3/8-mile oval hosted the World of Outlaw NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and the Xtreme Outlaw Series for the Wildcat Showdown.
After racing into the $12,000-to-win World of Outlaws A-Main with a third-place showing in his heat, Ryan was an early retiree from the 35-lapper with five circuits remaining.
Starting the Xtreme Outlaw Series feature in 10th on Friday, Timms climbed five positions to register a fifth-place finish.
Back behind the wheel of the Keith Kunz Motorsports No. 67 Midget on Saturday at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex (Sweet Springs, Mo.), Ryan backed up a fourth-to-second run in his heat with a third-place finish in the 30-lap finale. He chased Kale Drake and Taylor Reimer to the checkers.
