Mooresville, NC (April 8, 2024) -- Kevin and Monika Rudeen are familiar names and faces at sprint car events across the country. The couple has continued to be one of the largest supporters of the sport through their track ownership at Skagit Speedway and the Rudeen Racing No. 26 sprint car driven by High Roller Zeb Wise. Their passion to honor Rayce Rudeen and the Rayce Rudeen Foundation continues to grow and build deep relationships within the sport.
In 2016, Kevin tragically lost his son Rayce to an overdose. In order to honor his life and keep his memory alive, his family started a private foundation to help others. Today, the Rayce Rudeen Foundation is a certified nonprofit that gives grant money to the organizations and programs that address the disease of addiction and encourage a healthy productive life, free from addiction. It is their goal to help fill the gaps in a broken system of addiction, treatment, and recovery.
Throughout the 2024 race season, Kevin and Monika will honor Rayce and the foundation with the Rayce Rudeen Foundation nightly bonus that will be awarded to the first driver not to make the A-Main at every Kubota High Limit Racing event.
The family will also continue to host the popular Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race. This year, the two-day event will be held on June 7 and 8 at I-70 Speedway and will continue to award the winner with a $26,000 paycheck and the famed Rayce Rudeen Foundation custom guitar trophy. Past winners of the Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race include NASCAR champions Tony Stewart and Kyle Larson, All-Star Circuit of Champion’s champion Zeb Wise, Anthony Macri and Rico Abreu.
More information about the Rayce Rudeen Foundation, including addiction resources and ways to donate, can be found at RayceRudeen.org. 100% of all donations the Rayce Rudeen Foundation receives go directly to the foundation’s grants and programs— which means every penny donated goes straight to those who need it the most. The Rudeen family is passionate about preventing others from suffering the same loss they have.
