2011 and three time Oil Capital Racing Series sprint car champion "Sean McClelland" has notified OCRS officials of his 2013 season debut for Friday night's event at the historic Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
McClelland will be behind the wheel of his famed "Black Widow" number 1 XXX Chassis with a Cliff Anderson supplied power plant. Maxwell Oil / Finishline Machining / Lawton Auto Parts and Penske Shocks are all back on board with McClelland. Along with crew chief Shane Vandervliet, this same combination was responsible for the team winning 8 of 19 main events in 2011 on their way to the overall title. McClelland ran a limited OCRS schedule in 2012.
Thunderbird Speedway has been particularly good to the team as they have won 4 of the last 6 events that they have participated on top of the large 1/2 mile track. McClelland and a host of others, will look to snap a two race win streak of Miss Harli White, who is still two weeks shy of her 18th birthday.
