The #17 car is Badger's version of a "ride share". Nick Kilian finished 29th in the 2023 AFS Badger Midget Series points race. He raced some races while his buddy Nick Klein (we hope to talk with him later) ran the other goes.
Another of our drivers who grew up in Sun Prairie, WI, home to Angell Park Speedway, let's hear from Nick Killian:

Were you a fan of racing before you got behind the wheel and if so, who were your heroes and what tracks did you attend?
I was a fan from a young age, well before I got behind the wheel. I grew up across the street from Angell Park Speedway and have been going there as long as I can remember. My favorite driver back when I was growing up was Doug Schenck. I remember his paint schemes always standing out and really catching my eye.
Give us a synopsis of your racing career:
I started of drag racing about 6 years ago following in my family's footsteps, but growing up across from Angell Park, I always had dirt racing in the back of my mind and finally was able to achieve the goal last year.
How much time do you spend on the car each week during the season?
It really depends on how the car is running and if we broke anything the week before I would say a minimum of 10 hours a week.
What is your day job and how does racing fit in?
I’m a steamfitter at local 601. it doesn’t really fit that well, but luckily I have a great crew that will put in the hours in the shop to help make sure we can make the next race.
What's something interesting the fans might not know about you?
When I get some free time I like to go fishing with my cousin Jason and if I’m not doing that I usually just hangout with the racing family.
