Harrison Robards was part of the RS12 Motorsports brigade in two classes over the weekend at the Southern Illinois Center in Du Quoin, Illinois.
On Friday, Robards was one of 20 A-Class Winged Micro drivers at the 1/6-mile indoor track for the first night of the Midwest Winter Nationals. He finished third in his heat, putting him 10th on the grid for the A-Main. He came home 15th in the 20-lapper.
Saturday saw the field pared to 18 cars for the second night of action. Robards claimed the runner-up result in his heat and slipped two spots in the 20-lap feature to finish ninth.
In addition, Robards took part in the inaugural events for the Hyper Racing WFO Winged Outlaw Micro Series, paying $1,000 to win each night. Thirty-two cars were at the Southern Illinois Center for both races.
Robards finished fifth in his heat and his B-Main on Friday evening, missing a transfer to the 25-lap Winged Outlaw Micro main event by two positions.
Robards again couldn’t find his way into the 25-lap A-Main the next night after an eighth-place finish in his heat and a seventh-place result in his consolation race.
