The Motorplex at The Mill has released its preliminary schedule for the 2024 season, and it is a schedule containing diverse and entertaining events for all passions in Motorsports to enjoy.
The year starts off with the local Porsche Club having their first of two Time Attack events on April 27-28. Drivers will tackle a challenging course around the speedway and interior kart track with the objective of setting the fastest time.
A month later on Memorial Weekend the highly anticipated NASCAR Weekly Series will begin on Saturday May 25th. The Series will be contested by the Pro Late Model, NASCAR Modified, and newly started JR Modified divisions. Other divisions will be in support throughout the season but will be revealed at a later date. Drivers in the Pro Late Model and NASCAR Modified divisions will also be running for NASCAR National Series points with their results contributing towards a national points system ranking all drivers across all NASCAR Regional Tracks. The NASCAR Modifieds will be contested as Division 1 and Pro Late Models as Division 2.
In the month of June, Sharkfest will make its return after a very successful 2023 with cool cars, booths, high end drift cars, and other fun activities for the family to enjoy. The NASCAR Weekly Series will return for its second night of action on June 22nd with the main divisions all participating. A week later is one of the most anticipated weekends of the season where Friday the 28th will be the NASCAR Weekly Series Round #3 with an expected higher car count in the Pro Late Model Class followed by the Northwest Super Late Model Series on Saturday the 29th being complimented by both Modified divisions for Round #4 of the Weekly Series. The Northwest Super Late Model Series is the premier super late model touring series in the region and is where many of the top stockcar drivers compete. It is sure to be one of the can't miss events of the year.
July will be an off month from the circle track racing but will still have fun events for the community to enjoy. July 5th and 6th will be the Idaho Truck Invasion which is turning into one of the States premier Truck Shows with many other businesses bringing out booths with fun activities for all to enjoy. Later in the month on the 20th and 21st will be the lone stop for the Kart Idaho Racing Series with the future of the areas motorsports drivers competing on the half mile roval circuit. Drivers as young as five will be racing and it will be some of the most fun and exciting side by side action of the year.
August will bring the return of the NASCAR weekly series racing on August 3rd with all mainstay divisions in action for night #5. On Labor Day weekend another exciting series makes its debut at the 1/3-mile oval with the Speed Tour Super Modifieds. One of the fastest racing vehicles in the world on asphalt short tracks the Super Modifieds are a thrill to watch when they are by themselves let alone when 12+ cars are all racing at the same time. They will be joined by the standard divisions for Weekly Series Night #6.
In September SPUD CUP will be making its return to the Motorplex after an outstanding first race at the facility. What is more exciting is that for the SR206 division it will be $5,000 to win making SPUD CUP one of the richest 4 stroke races in the world. It will be sure to attract some of the best kart racers in the Western United States and even drivers racing at some of the highest levels in motorsports. To bookend the month the Porsche Club having their second time attack of the year on the 27th and 28th.
October 12th will be the Championship Event for the NASCAR Weekly Series and will be the final circle track race of the season. Champions in the Pro Late Model, and NASCAR Modified divisions will be crowned and it will be highly anticipated as it will be the first championships garnered in track history.
