Memphis, Tennessee’s Landon Britt kicked off his 2024 season on Tuesday afternoon at Tulsa Expo Raceway (Tulsa, Okla.) aboard the Chris Chappue-owned No. 60 Midget for the 38th annual Chili Bowl Nationals powered by NOS Energy Drink.
Alongside a stout field of 69 Midgets, Britt lost ground early in his heat to finish seventh, relegating him into a C-Main. With the top-four moving onto a B-Main, Landon failed to transfer out of his consolation race but was able to gain four spots to place sixth, boosting his confidence for Saturday.
Back in action on Saturday in hopes to pull off an alphabet soup run, Landon raced out of the K-Feature with a ninth-to-fifth showing. Elevating the top-six from the J-Feature into the I-Main, Britt was an early exit on lap six, ending his bid for the $20,000-to-win Chili Bowl Nationals finale.
