Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, OKLA. (March 25, 2013) The Parker Hose Advantage Store Southwest Region will host its first standalone show of the 2013 season on Saturday, March 30 at the Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz.
Pairing their first four dates of the season with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real National Tour, reigning regional champion Rick Ziehl has assumed his place atop the point standings heading into this Saturday’s events after early points leader Joshua Hodges was absent from events at the Cocopah Speedway.
In the 2012 season’s lone visit to the one-third mile Phoenix Valley oval, it was Ziehl who raced the Bay Hays Motorsports No. 20z to victory ahead of J.T. Imperial and Joshua Williams. A repeat of his 2012 success this Saturday would tie the Las Cruces, N.M. driver with Johnny Herrera as the winningest driver in the history of the Parker Hose Advantage Store Southwest Region as Herrera holds 16 victories.
Saturday’s card will also include the Pure Stocks, Mod Lites, and Bombers with races slated to begin at 6:45 P.M. (MT). Admission will be $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens, and $5 for children. For more information on the Arizona Speedway log onto www.arizonaspeedway.net or call 480-926-6688.
