Dodge City, Kan (www.urssracing.com) - After a year away from the Rolling Plains Motor Speedway, the United Rebel Sprint Series presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing is heading back to Hays Kansas for the 2024 Wheat Shocker Nationals.
The decision comes after the Ellis County Fair Board voted on Monday night to approve the re-addition of the famed Sprint Car Series to the crown jewel event, Wheat Shocker Nationals during the Ellis County Fair.
This will now give drivers and fans a chance to see RaceSaver Sprint Cars for 3 days in a row, as WaKeeney will kick off the 3-day swing on Thursday, July 11th before the series heads to Hays to conclude the weekend.
The last time the United Rebel Sprint Series was at RPM Speedway, Zach Blurton swept both nights of the 2022 Wheat Shocker Nationals. With its high banks, and no turns 1-2 wall, the track always persists challenges to the drivers. C.J. Johnson still holds the record for most wins at the track (6).
