(SODUS, NY) – The A-Verdi Storage Containers CRSA Sprints will embark on their nineteenth season traveling multiple states to excite dirt racing fans in 2024. They will do so with a new face and voice behind the microphone when the new year kicks off.

Mike Emhof and the CRSA Sprints are pleased to announce that motorsports writer, announcer and podcast host Marty Czekala has accepted the position of Media Director and Announcer effective immediately. Czekala succeeds the outgoing Steven Ovens, who stepped aside this past weekend to focus efforts on current duties with Land of Legends Raceway TV and spending more time with family.

Czekala is no stranger to 305 Sprint Cars as he has filled in on several occasions as pit reporter and as lead announcer at Land of Legends Raceway, including announcing an event featuring the “Future Stars of Sprint Cars” this past season. The Batavia, NY media member spent 2022 and 2023 following the RUSH Racing Series supporting their social media efforts and serving as a solid vocal backup to Brian Spaid.

The new front man for CRSA has been a fill-in pit reporter for Land of Legends Raceway TV since 2021. He also serves as host of RSN Trackside on the ROC Sports Network, covering local motorsports and NASCAR.

Announcing is a passion for Czekala outside of racing as well, serving as the play-by-play voice of the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles since 2018. Marty’s voice has also been synonymous with the NJCAA Championships for the past two seasons.

“We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to bring Marty into the CRSA family,” said CRSA Sprints series director Mike Emhof.

“Marty brings a passion for his work that aligns with the work Steven has done for us for several years. We thank Steven for his efforts behind the mic and behind the scenes to help CRSA elevate our program and bring our drivers a high level of notoriety.”

Czekala is ready to hit the road in the Spring when the series will kick off a 20+ race schedule.

"The announcer plays an important role in any touring series, so becoming the voice of the CRSA Sprints is exciting,” said Czekala on Friday.

“I want to thank Mike Emhof for the opportunity to tell the stories of the 'Future Stars of Sprint Cars.' Steven Ovens is a good mentor and friend, and I'm honored to succeed him. I have big shoes to fill as he is one of the best in the business. I can't wait to begin the journey this Spring!"

A smooth transition of duties including assisting with the back office operation of My Race Pass, all social media accounts and race night announcing is already in motion. A series organizational meeting is planned for January at DisBatch Brewing Company as well as the 2024 schedule details planned to be released soon.
