It seems the biggest question of the Sprint Car off-season has been where will Rico Abreu take his talents in 2024. Today, we got that answer. He’s all in with High Limit Racing.
One of the biggest superstars in the sport off the track and one of the most talented drivers behind the wheel, Abreu’s addition to High Limit Racing is monumental in many ways. He’s the seventh driver to publicly commit to chasing the 2024 championship — following Brad Sweet, Kasey Kahne, Jacob Allen, Zeb Wise, Cory Eliason & Brenham Crouch.
No stranger to being a High Roller, Abreu contested the full 2023 midweek campaign and fell only seven-points shy of topping Kyle Larson for the inaugural title. The St. Helena, California native did win four of the final six midweek races, earning him the honor of being winningest driver in the short history of High Limit.
Abreu’s move to High Limit Racing allows him and the RAR #24 team the chance to race 60 scheduled nights with full benefits, all while chasing a midweek title ($100,000 points fund) and season-long championship ($1 million points fund), and retain complete freedom to run any other events he chooses.
Able to compete freely in the biggest Sprint Car races in the country, Abreu and the rest of the High Rollers can battle for seven six-figure payday races — three of those being worn High Limit at Eldora’s Jokers Jackpot, Silver Dollar’s Gold Cup, and the Skagit Nationals, all tracks he has conquered before.
Rico’s High Limit Racing season officially begins on Monday & Tuesday, February 12-13 at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL, and concludes on Friday-Saturday, October 11-12 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, TX witb 25+ races paying $20,000 or more sandwiched in between.
The busy week continues for High Limit Racing with plenty of more news to come on the cast of 2024 High Rollers. Stay tuned to FloRacing.com to keep up with the incoming announcements.
For fans unable to attend the track next year, you will be able to stream every High Limit Racing event live on FloRacing.
