The Midwest Sprint Touring Series will become a two-series entity in 2024 with 410 sprint cars sanctioned by the tour for the first time. The MSTS 360 sprint cars will continue to be a staple in 2024 as well, with dates already booked with several speedways.
Founded in 2015, MSTS has held competition at more than 160 events across South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska. Increasing competition at the 410 sprint car level is the next natural evolution of the series with the returned prominence of 410 sprint cars across the region.
“We have so many big events for 410 sprint cars in our area now, and that is drawing so many existing and new teams to the 410 ranks,” said Dale Furby, MSTS owner and director. “The opportunity is there to bring that exciting level of racing to new tracks and new fans just as MSTS has brought sprint car racing to fans and tracks since 2015. We look forward to working closely with Huset’s and other tracks across the region for a successful 2024.”
MSTS 410 events will be conducted with various formats – some events will base lineups on timing, while other events will utilize the traditional draw-redraw format. In 2023, MSTS had its most competitive year to date with eleven different winners. Cody Ledger claimed his first series championship.
Dates and tracks for both MSTS 410 and MSTS 360 will be announced in the coming weeks. Tracks, drivers and teams with questions can contact Dale Furby at 605-359-1779.
