MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (November 9, 2023) - Troy and Tammy Renfro of TKS Motorsports are pleased to announce that Waco, Texas, native Chase Randall will make his return in 2024, set to pilot the all-too-familiar Albaugh - Your Alternative/Iowa Barnstormers No. 2KS in a full-on Midwest assault.
Taking on a more aggressive approach during the new year, TKS Motorsports and Chase Randall will not only make their weekly presence known at the Sprint Car Capital of the World, but the team plans to hit the road as often as their schedule allows, visiting nearby facilities as well as challenging the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and High Limit Sprint Car Series on a semi-regular basis.
Of course, all eyes are on a Knoxville Raceway track championship, which would be a first for TKS Motorsports since accomplishing the feat with Austin McCarl in 2018.
“We’re privileged and excited to have a young talent like Chase [Randall] continue his career at TKS Motorsports,” Troy Renfro explained. “He brought a lot to the table this past season and we were thrilled with his dedication and his abilities behind the wheel. I’m confident great things are ahead for this team. We have a lot of work to do this off-season but we’ll be ready to go.”
Randall, the reigning Knoxville Raceway 360 Sprint Car champion, joined the Mitchellville, Iowa-based open wheel program near the midpoint of the 2023 season, driving on to highlight the year with a Knoxville Nationals A-Main start, earning his way into the big dance with a runner-up score during preliminary feature competition. Known to most as the “Quickest Chicken,” Randall finished 13th in the Knoxville Nationals finale; he started 14th.
“I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to rejoin the Renfro Family at TKS Motorsports, as well as represent Albaugh - Your Alternative and Iowa Barnstormers,” Randall added. “They own and operate a top-notch operation and I’m confident big things are ahead for this team. I think I speak for everyone when I say I’m ready for the new year.”
The 2024 Knoxville Raceway season is set to activate on Saturday, April 20.
