Landon Britt competes in Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial at Wheatland

Coming off his first career victory with the series, Landon Britt returned with the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) presented by RacinDirt.com on Tuesday evening at Clay County Fair Speedway (Spencer, Iowa) for The Battle of the Blue Ribbon.

After pulling off early on the fifth lap of his heat race, Britt used his consolation race as a test session with a provisional into the main event already secured. Starting the A-Main in 23rd, Landon pulled pitside on the fourth circuit to bring an early end to his night.

Back in action on Thursday, Landon entered his Builtwizer Wings No. 10 Sprinter into battle at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) as the 13th Annual ASCS/WAR Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial drew a stout field of 40 ASCS entries. Following a third-place finish in his heat, Britt stormed into Thursday’s preliminary feature with a third-to-first run in his B-Main. Chasing the $3,000 top prize in the opener, Landon improved one spot to finish 16th.

Back in action on Sunday, Britt lost two spots in his LCQ, relegating him into a consolation race. Needing to place second or better to make the $10,000-to-win Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial finale, Landon was one of six cars that elected to scratch.
