RS12 drivers take on large fields at Coles County

RS12 Motorsports celebrated spooky season on Saturday as team drivers Harrison Robards and Matt Bagby traveled to the 1/8-mile Coles County Speedway (Mattoon, Illinois) for the Halloween Clash.

Robards competed in both the 31-car Outlaw Wing and 34-car A Class Wing portions of the event in a pair of Spartan Transportation-backed rides.

In Outlaw Wing, “Dirty Harry” finished third in his heat in the No. 12R, putting him in the 14th starting spot for the 25-lap A-Main. He gave up one position during the race and turned in a 15th-place result.

Meanwhile, Robards piloted the No. 11H car in A Class competition. He crossed under the checkered flag fifth in his heat and started third in the B-Main. After an 11lth-place finish, he did not advance to the night’s 20-lap main event.

Bagby also took part in the A Class Wing program at Coles County. He steered his Spartan Transportation No. 42 to sixth place in his heat, then transferred to the feature by grabbing fifth in the B-Main. He rolled off 21st and picked up eight spots to register a 13th-place feature finish.
