Ryan Timms and crew trekked east to kick off an eastern swing with Tuesday’s High Limit Sprint Car Series sanctioned program at Bridgeport Motorsports Park (Bridgeport, N.J.).
Starting the opening night feature in 20th via a fifth-place outing in his heat race, Timms charged forward seven spots in the 35-lap affair to record a 13th-place finish.
On Thursday, Ryan headed to Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) as the 56th annual Tuscarora 50 kicked off a three-day stretch at the Pennsylvania oval. With 54 Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions entries converged at the half-mile oval, Timms’ sixth-place finish in his heat relegated him into a consolation race for another shot at the $60,000-to-win A-Main. Locking the Top-5 into the main event, Ryan fell short with a 14th-place outing.
With the remainder of the weekend shifting under the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series banner, Timms’ evening drew to an early close on Friday after he followed up an 11th-place heat performance with a fifth-place run in the C-Feature.
For another full program on Saturday, Ryan clocked in 17th-fastest in his time trial group before placing 11th in his heat. Pinned on the ninth row of his consolation race, Timms only missed a transfer spot by four cars after improving 10 spots in the 12-lapper to cap off the weekend on a high note with an eighth-place outing.
