RS12 Motorsports continued its run of success over the weekend with multiple strong performances at tracks in Missouri and Illinois.
On Friday evening, RS12 driver Zander LaRose competed in the Lo206 Beginner class at the 1/6-mile Doe Run Raceway (Doe Run, Missouri). He drove his No. 1Z car from fifth to first to win his heat race and started the 10-lap A-Main from the pole. He led every lap and took the checkered flag 1.685 seconds ahead of Myles Beard. Camden Boyer finished third, with Bristol Asher taking the fourth spot and Wyatt Stolzer coming home fifth. The win was LaRose’s third in a row at Doe Run and “Z-Man” also claimed the track title.
The following night, three RS12 drivers took on Wayne County Speedway (Wayne City, Illinois).
Harrison Robards competed in both the A Class and Outlaw Winged Micros at the 1/5-mile Wayne County track. In the A Class he finished third in his heat in the No. 11H machine, then began the 15-lap A-Main from the second spot. He came home in the same position, crossing the start-finish line 1.147 seconds behind Kameron Sneed. RS12 teammate Matt Bagby finished third, with MacKezie Meany and Jace Cooksey taking fourth and fifth, respectively.
In the Outlaw Winged Micros class, “Dirty Harry” finished sixth in his heat and started 11th in the 20-lap A-Main. He turned in a 12th-place result.
Matt Bagby also drove in the A Class at Wayne County on Saturday, steering his No. 42 ride to a fourth-place finish in his heat. He started fourth and finished third in the feature event, putting two RS12 cars on the podium.
Allen Cope rounded out the RS12 entrants at Wayne County Speedway, taking part in the Outlaw Non-Winged Micros division in the No. 22D. After a heat race win, Cope started and finished second in the 20-lap A-Main.
