RS12 Motorsports competed across two tracks with five drivers over the weekend, picking up a win and multiple top-10 finishes along the way.
On Friday at the 1/6-mile Doe Run Raceway (Doe Run, Missouri), Zander LaRose participated in the 10-car strong Lo206 Beginner class. Driving the No. 1Z, LaRose started 10th in his heat race and charged forward to take the win. He then started on the pole in the 10-lap A-Main and crossed under the checkered flag in front of Chase Nash, Easton Hayes, Myles Beard and James Couch.
Meanwhile, Matt Bagby was part of the 18-car Outlaw Winged Micros field at Doe Run on Friday evening. He steered his No. 42 car to a fifth-place result in his heat, starting him 10th in the 20-lap A-Main. After running as high as sixth, he registered a 13th-place result.
The next night, three drivers represented RS12 at Southern Illinois Raceway (Marion, Illinois). Harrison Robards was among 11 competitors in the A Class at the 1/8-mile oval where he drove his No. 11H machine to a runner-up finish in his heat race. Robards then started the 20-lap main event from the sixth position and advanced one spot to record a top-five result. He crossed the start-finish line behind Braden Pfeiffer, Drew Sherman, Ryder Eigenrauch and Sam Morthland.
Robards was also one of 15 Winged Outlaw competitors on Saturday at Southern Illinois. He finished sixth in his heat but did not start the 25-lap feature race.
Additionally, Allen Cope and Daniel Robinson made surprise starts for RS12 at Southern Illinois Raceway.
Cope drove the No. 12R machine in the Winged Outlaws class, finishing sixth in the A-Main. He was also one of 20 Non-Wing Outlaw competitors and came home 13th in the 25-lap feature race.
Robinson competed in the Non-Wing Outlaws class as well and scored a second-place finish in the No. 22.
