Kyle Steffens invaded the Buckeye State on Friday afternoon to make his first career start at the famed Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the 41st annual 4-Crown Nationals presented by NKTELCO.
With 36 USAC Silver Crown entries taking part in the two-day event, Steffens followed up a brief three-lap hot lap session with the 28th-fastest qualifying time. Relegated into a B-Main, Kyle stormed into Saturday night’s $10,000-to-win A-Main with an impressive eighth-to-second showing on the high-banked oval.
Rolling off on the 13th row for Saturday's 50-lap feature, Kyle suffered a broken clutch that brought an early end to his night.
