RS12 Motorsports teammates Harrison Robards and Brian Rieck made two stops in the Land of Lincoln over the weekend with visits to Coles County Speedway (Mattoon, Illinois) and Highland Speedway (Highland, Illinois).
On Friday, Robards took on both the A Class and Outlaw Winged Micros divisions at the 1/8-mile Coles County Speedway in his Spartan Transportation No. 11H ride. He finished as runner-up in his heat race in the A Class and began the feature event from the second spot on the grid. He came home in the same position, following J.B. Gilbert under the checkered flag. Third place went to Parker Bupp, with Dawson Wright fourth and Danny Vicino fifth.
In the Outlaw Winged Micros only a heat race was contested, with Robards taking the win over John Jackson III.
Meanwhile, Rieck participated in the Heartland Auto Racing Tour (HART) Non-Wing portion of the program in his R&R Racewear No. 12 car. He finished fourth in his heat race, starting him fifth in the A-Main. He drove to a podium finish, taking a third-place result behind Kameron Romack and J.B. Gilbert. Brody Strong and Parker Perry rounded out the top five.
The following evening, the duo traveled to the quarter-mile Highland Speedway where each competed in the 34-car Micros class. Robards finished eighth in his heat race but was unable to start the B-Main. Rieck also came home eighth in his heat and finished 12th in the B-Main, bringing his evening to an end.
