Drivers to Watch: Davenport Speedway with POWRi National/Xtreme Midgets

Belleville, IL. (8/24/23) Driving into Davenport Speedway with the POWRi National Midget League, running in conjunction with the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series presented by Toyota, on August 25-26; mainstay competitors continually eye the top position with National points implications on the line to influence the event-by-event evolving standings.

Showcasing impressive back-to-back finishes at Pevely, a new competitor circles atop the standings as Mason City Illinois wheelman Karter Sarff launches to the top of the leaderboard through multiple front-field placements. Wheeling his Provisio-Partners, Jamie Sarff Construction, Collision Concepts, Clearview Glass, O’Dell Auto, #21K into a trio of heat race wins and hard-charger awards as well as a single high point qualifier accolade all in 2023 action.

Targeting the top of the standings from currently sitting in second place in POWRi National Midget League seasonal points with four wins on the year, Cannon McIntosh comes into the final stretch of races behind a mere ninety points. With an already impressive yearly racing resume, McIntosh has moved within striking distance to produce a late-season championship surge as the year winds down.

Starting the season as a staple of speedy consistency with nine top-ten performances, the Mounce-Stout Motorsports challenge of Corbin Rueschenberg slipped slightly in the standings to third overall, now only one-hundred-ten points behind. The Mesa Arizona young gun aims to remain steady to clinch not only the rookie of the year points standings as well as clinch the league title.

Finding consistent frontrunners, a wealth of top-tier competitors within Keith Kunz Motorsports all remain in prominent positions within the season standings shuffle as Cooper Williams(-300) sits fourth, Taylor Reimer(-330) rounds out the top five, Gavin Miller(-350) is scored sixth, Jade Avedisian(-740) runs eighth, and Mariah Ede(-1430) is placed eleventh within the POWRi National Midget League 2023 competitional standings as two-day Iowa adventure approaches.

Connecting the blend of competitors scheduled to enter over Quad-Cities 150 weekend will also see a mixture of traveling talents including three-time POWRi National Midget and defending Xtreme Series champ Zach Daum, Rudeen Racing picture of consistency Chance Crum, Reinbold-Underwood rising talent Hayden Reinbold, O’Dell Motorsports wheelman Mitchell Davis, plus many more.
