After a scheduled off weekend, Abby Hohlbein returned to the driver’s seat of her J&M Excavating No. 11H Midget on Friday afternoon at Moler Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) for the opener of the doubleheader weekend.
Following the third-fastest qualifying effort in her group, Hohlbein raced her way into the A-Main with a runner-up showing in her heat race. Rolling off sixth, Abby shuffled few spots early before clawing back to a sixth-place finish.
On Saturday at Atomic Speedway (Alma, Ohio), Abby’s fourth-place showing in her heat pinned her on the sixth row for the feature. Sidelined early by mechanical issues, Hohlbein pulled pitside on the 10th circuit after a piece of debris struck her radiator and damaged both radiator mounts.
Abby now turns her focus to Montpelier Motor Speedway on August 12th.
