Up And Down Weekend For Vanderheiden

EAGLE, Neb. (July 25, 2023) Things were up and down this past weekend for Cole Vanderhieden, as the No. 15v charged through the field one night, only to battle the wall the next.

Starting off with the charge at Crawford County Speedway on Friday, July 21, a gut-slick track produced very little chance at passing in the Heat Race, putting Cole seventh and starting 14th in the feature.

Leaving nearly every ounce of Hooseir on the track, Cole managed to charge forward eight spots for a sixth-place finish.

Onto Eagle Raceway on Saturday, Cole's roller-coaster weekend was about to pick up with his run through the Heat Race bouncing from third to seventh and back to fourth.

Gridding the field 14th again, Cole slid back, fought back, and finally made contact with the wall in the first and second turns, flattening the right front, and forcing a 20th-place finish.

Plans for the team's next event are TBA.
