Bryce had the opportunity to race at Bubba Raceway Park for the first time last night. Mother Nature tried to rain us out, but was not successful Went out for hot laps and was a slimy mess. Only learned that he didn’t have a clutch. Oops!. Our amazing crew of Robby Hoffmann, Kenny Brewer and Zack Amundsen flipped the car on the side and was able to pull the clutch , fix it and put it back in in time for his heat race. I had my doubts but those guys got it done . Mean while, uncle Bruce Comer had to work his butt off trying to get our tires right. Apparently I messed up the stagger this week. They shrank , who knew. P.S. I am no longer allowed to try to stagger tires.
This track was definitely tricky, If you have been here you know turn 4 can get you quick.
Bryce was able to win his heat race which had him starting 3rd in the feature. For the feature he was able to take the lead in the first half of the race and hold on for the win. Had a nice little battle with his teammate Tyler Landis who came from the back and finished 2nd.
Thanks to everyone that came out, helped and supported Bryce. The crew always comes along to support!
Was the first night on the new Guhl injection and the new Slade shocks and they performed awesome.
Not sure of our next race but will provide an update once we know.
