Chillicothe, OH - The long awaited return of the Great Lakes Super Sprints presented by Engine Pro & ARP, making their first appearance of the season at Atomic Speedway! Let's just say Atomic had a great track and our sprints put on an amazing show! The event witnessed high-speed racing and drew an impressive crowd, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the fans, staff, and drivers whose support made this night possible.
Tonights winner, Randy Hannagan (San Jose,CA) seemed to put it on cruise control as he jumped out front from the pole position. Hannagan was able to hold and maintain a steady lead the entire race, even after multiple cautions. Excellent performances were also displayed by Mike Keegan (Fremont,OH) who impressively earned the Hoosier Racing Tire Hard Charger award by climbing seven positions from 10th to 3rd place. Additionally, Cody Fendley (Placerville, CA) had the honor of being tonight's featured Engine Pro Lucky Dog!
During the qualifying laps,Jake Hesson (Marysville,OH) showcased outstanding performance as the Ti22 Performance Fast Qualifier, setting an impressive lap time of 13.105 seconds. Close behind, Max Stambaugh (Elida,OH) secured the second spot with a lap time of 13.133 seconds, and Ron Blair (Troy,OH) rounded out the podium with a lap time of 13.248 seconds.
Ryan Coniam (Burlington, ON) emerged victorious in the Engler Machine & Tool Heat 1, while Creed Kemenah (Alvada,OH) wins the Howard Johnson by Wyndham Heat 2, and Hannagan claimed the win in the Engine Pro Heat 3.
The Great Lakes Super Sprints presented by Engine Pro and ARP will return to action on Friday, July 28th, at I-96 Speedway and Saturday, July 29th, at Fremont Speedway.
