Then 4 Speed Promotions will get you all set up as they are proud to announce the “Ultimate Sprint Car Set Up Clinic” hosted by American Sprint Car Series regular Wayne Johnson of Knoxville, Iowa. This one day event will take place on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Exchange Center Conference Room, across from the Chili Bowl in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Joining Wayne will be Mike Long of Eagle Chassis as well as a representative of Super Shox.
This six hour class, taking place from 9:30 AM until 4:30 PM will go over the following:
How to setup for 305, 360 and 410 sprints
In depth chassis setup for all track types
How tires, torsion bars and shocks actually work
Tire selection, preparation and grooving patterns
Car preparation and adjustments to all track types
And much, much more
There will be an extensive question and answer period with all speakers.
The former Oklahoma City resident has won his share of races in both 360 and 410 sprint car racing, having won features with the World of Outlaw Gumout Series, Interstate Racing Association and the American Sprint Car Series where he sits fifth in the all-time feature win list.
Below is a sampling of his accomplishments in the sprint car world: 2-time 360 Knoxville Nationals champion, 2000 ASCS National champion, “King of the Hill” 360 Nationals champion at East Bay Motor Speedway, Canadian Sprint Car Nationals Champion, Short Track Nationals, 5th all-time in ASCS feature wins, Preliminary feature winner during the 410 Knoxville Nationals, Western Australia Title Champion, Two times second in Knoxville Championship points in the 410 division, WoO Gumout Series Rookie of the Year, Jackson Nationals winner in the 410 division and a two time “Mr. Sprint Car” title holder. Johnson has over 140 career feature victories.
Admission is $250 each or choose the “Crew Special” which is $400 for two people.
