Perricone Season Ends at 2012 World Finals
Driver Jim Perricone and the J&B Motorsports 10P made a gallant effort against the best the World of Outlaws had to offer at this year's 2012 World Finals. A total of 50 cars were in attendance and Jim timed in at 47th on Thursday evening. A first time visit to Charlotte and down on horsepower would have us start in the back of heat 2 on Friday. In Friday night's Heat 2 Jim was able to avoid the flipping Dean Jacobs and come home 7th. The time trial redraw
would hurt Jim and start him in the C main on Friday. Jim would start 9th but faded and finished 12th. Saturday was Live SPEED coverage and the team was ready after Friday night's run. The track was dry slick in Heat 5 and Jim was there but just not stronger enough to pass Terry McCarl in the end. Before the C Main, the track was reworked but provided a big challenge as it was now wet, greasy and tough to get a hold of. We were given the word to line up and go green for the C Main but the car was not set up for those racing conditions. Jim as well as others raced into turn one and the cars just would not turn. Jim was successful in keeping it straight and avoided a flipping Jimmy Seeger in Turn 1. On the restart the 10P found some grip and luck made a pass to secure a 9th place finish after starting 14th. A big thank you goes out to our sponsors J&J Auto Racing, Butlerbuilt Seats, Bell Helmets, OC Shocks and Randy's Racing Filters.
