EAGLE, Neb. (June 26, 2023) A quick start and a good run going in the feature at Eagle Raceway on Saturday, June 24 things came unraveled for Cole Vanderheiden with three laps to run while battling for sixth.
Starting the night off with a Heat Race win, the feature put the Copps Pizza Company / BradCo Companies No. 15v sixth in the A-Feature lineup. Racing up to fourth at one point, a move in traffic would force Cole to fall back to fifth.
Battling back in the closing laps, those same lapped cars would again come into play, Cole was able to stick to the top this time and clear; unfortunately, the car chasing him off the bottom would end up making contact and ending Cole's night.
Cole was slated to race Sunday, June 25 at Interstate Speedway, but the race was unfortunately canceled.
The next outing for Cole is TBA as Cole's work schedule has changed due to starting a new job.
