Belleville, IL. (6/24/23) Tyler Kuykendall would secure his first career victory with the POWRi Outlaw Micro League presented by Engler Machine & Tool Macon Speedway after leading the final fifteen laps in an action-packed POWRi Illinois SPEEDWeek stop.
Entering a stout field of POWRi Outlaw Non-Wing Micro competitors, Corbin Rueschenberg would clock overall hot lap quick-time with an 11.251-second lap as Tyler Kuykendall and Jordan Clary each earned heat racing victories with Clary earning the night’s high-point qualifier accolade.
Securing the front for the feature, Tyler Kuykendall would claim his inaugural career league win in an intense and action-packed feature after starting third in the main event. Staying in the hunt for the front Kale Drake would pace intently all event to result in a runner-up finish from starting sixth as hard-charger Corbin Rueschenberg would fly through the field from starting sixteenth to finalize the podium placement.
“This is amazing to get my first POWRi win here at Macon, I have to thank my fellow competitors Kale and Corbin for racing me clean in that last restart, I really feel like they could have forced the issue but everyone drove a great race.” said the winner Tyler Kuykendall in the Macon Speedway winners circle ceremony.
Hunter Pruitt would place fourth as early leader of the first five laps Jordan Clary rounded out the top-five finishers in the POWRi Outlaw Micro League feature at Macon Speedway for the annual stop on the POWRi Illinois SPEEDWeek trail.
