Waylon Phillips was pulling double duty on Saturday afternoon at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex (Sweet Springs, Mo.) in the A-Class and Non-Wing Micro ranks.
In an eventful night that saw Waylon get penalized in the A-Class feature due to a miscommunication, he rebounded in the Non-Wing Micro A-Main to cap off the night on a high note. Starting in 15th, Phillips advanced through the field 12 spots in the 30-lapper to register an impressive third-place finish. He chased Chris Koch and Tyler Kuykendall to the checkers with Jackson Frisbie and Caleb Moen completing the top-five finishers.
