BRANDON, S.D. (June 13, 2023) Cut to one night of racing due to weather at Eagle Raceway, Cole Vanderheiden set sights on Huset's Speedway on Sunday and walked away with a fifth-place finish.
Cole's fourth top-five finish in his last five visits to the South Dakota oval, 24 entries made up the field Sunday, with Cole starting 13th following his fifth-place finish in the opening Heat Race. Charging ahead from there, Cole also netted an extra $100 at the night's HRP Hard Charger.
With only a handful of races left at Huset's this season, Cole founds himself in the hunt for the championship in the Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car division with a 12-point lead over Trevor Surbus.
The team is back in action at Eagle Raceway this Saturday, June 17, and Husets Speedway on Sunday, June 18.
