Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (June 13, 2023) – Trey Starks is gearing up for a big week of action with a pair of races this weekend at home tracks.
Starks will venture to Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash., on Saturday for a 360ci winged sprint car show before heading to Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash., on Saturday for an event with the NARC 410 Sprint Car Series.
“It’ll be good to get back to Skagit for more laps before Dirt Cup regardless of what car it’s in,” he said.
Saturday’s show is the first of five nights at Skagit Speedway during an eight-day span culminating with the famed Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup.
“We’ve had good success at Skagit this year, but you’re dealing with a whole different realm next week,” he said. “There’s more cars and competition. You’ll have to have good speed, but a little luck as well.”
On Sunday, Starks will be defending his first-ever NARC 410 Sprint Car Series victory, which occurred last year at Grays Harbor Raceway.
“It’ll be nice to try to defend that win,” he said. “It was a good night. We qualified well and grabbed the lead early in the feature. It was a defining night for our season. We had good success in the 360 at that time, but it proved that we were fast in the 410 as well against some pretty good competition. I think it jump-started the rest of the season.”
