World of Outlaws I-55 Speedway
Daytime provided a makeup rainout of the IronMan race and it was a spectacular race with Craig Dollansky repeating as the Champion. The night show was a makeup for a Spring rainout. Jim put down a solid qualifying lap of 11.90 seconds and found the fast track to his liking. It was a short turnaround for the Heat races and Jim was not comfortable in the car and line he was running and had to pull in during the heat race and finished 7th. Starting in the back of the B main it was a great opportunity to try some new things. The track was black slick and Bob Thompson put a set up under the car that they had not run before. The car was working well in the B main and Jim was able to take it up to the fence and found some speed. Jim finished 11th not what the team wanted but found some positives to the finish and that was Jim was able to stay on the lead lap and put the car in the trailer in one piece. The day had some bad crashes which included Jeremy Standridge, Kerry Madsen, Derek Hagar and Steve Kinser. Evening winner was Jason Sides with a great run.
