The RS12 Motorsports team was back in action this past week, taking on a stout field of competition at two Midwest tracks.
The racing slate kicked off on Wednesday, when Harrison Robards’ Alarm 24 No. 11H car was one of 20 Heartland Auto Racing Tour (HART) Non-Wing Micros on the card at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois).
Robards finished sixth in his heat race on the 3/8-mile oval and started 17th in the night’s 15-lap A-Main. He faded one spot to come home 18th.
On Friday, both Robards and teammate Bran Rieck took on the 600cc Outlaw Winged Micros class at the 1/6-mile Doe Run Raceway (Doe Run, Missouri). Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch was among the 19 drivers entered in the division during the track’s NASCAR Night.
Rieck drove his new Spartan Transportation No. 12 machine to a third-place finish in his heat and started ninth in the 20-lap A-Main. He picked up three positions to secure a sixth-place result in the race won by Busch.
Meanwhile, "Dirty Harry" Robards finished fifth in his heat and started the main event from 14th. He moved forward five spots to finish just inside the top 10 in ninth place.
