Crystal, MI (Saturday, May 27, 2023) -Great Lakes Super Sprints presented by PErfit Engine Pro and ARP (GLSS) had their second race this Memorial Weekend at Crystal Motor Speedway. The night was packed with a thrilling event of highspeed racing and a huge turnout in the stands. To start this right, we would like to say thank you to all the drivers, fans, sponsors, and staff members who came out to the race and supported us.
Brad Lamberson (Parma, MI) started in 2nd and immediately took first place when the race started. Brad was able to hold his place for almost the whole Feature race. Phil Gressman (Fremont Ohio) charged by Lamberson about halfway into the race and took the lead for about a lap until a caution was called. Once the caution was over, Lamberson was able to get back in front and bring home the win!
Earlier in the evening #70 Eli Lakin (Buchanan, MI) has a wreck coming into turn 1. He flipped his car about 8 ft in the air and damaged the whole wing in his car. With the help and support of his pit crew members and the wait we had in between shows, he was able to get his car fixed and was ready to race in the Feature!
Max Stambaugh (Elida, OH) moved up from 10th to 5th place winning the Hoosier Racing Tire Hard Charger. Frank Neill (Vickery, OH) was tonight's features Engine Pro Lucky Dog!
Boston Mead (Onsted, MI) wins the Engler Machine and Tool, Heat Race 1. Ryan Ruhl (Coldwater, MI) wins the Coffey Plumbing and Heating Heat Race 2. Lamberson wins again and took home Heat Race 3 presented by Beacon and Bridge Market!
