RS12 Motorsports spent Memorial Day weekend with two of its drivers in competition.
Harrison Robards and the RS12 Motorsports outfit kicked off the action on Friday at Doe Run Raceway (Doe Run, Missouri). Robards’ Spartan Transportation No. 11H machine was one of 18 entries in 600cc Outlaw Winged Micros class at the 1/5-mile clay oval.
“Dirty Harry” finished fifth in his heat race, putting him seventh on the grid for the 20-lap A-Main.
The young driver from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri, advanced one position in the feature event to register a solid sixth-place finish.
On Saturday, the operation moved to the 1/8-mile Southern Illinois Raceway (Marion, Illinois) where Robards was one of 11 drivers competing in the track’s A Class. He won his heat race and started second for the A-Main. However, he suffered a flat tire and was unable to complete all the laps, turning in a 10th-place result.
After the flat, Robards elected to become the 16th entrant in the Winged Outlaws class. He tagged the back of the field in the A-Main and moved forward eight spots to finish eighth.
Brian Rieck joined Robards in Winged Outlaws at Southern Illinois. The driver from Lake St. Louis, Missouri, finished third in his heat race in his No. 12 car, positioning him in the sixth starting spot for the A-Main. He finished the evening with a ninth-place result.
