Osborn, Mo: Friday night at the US 36 Raceway Dirt Track defending Wholesale Batteries USAC MWRA Sprint champ Wyatt Burks took a hard fought victory in the 25 lap feature event after passing first Kory Schudy for 2nd, and then Ty Hulsey for 1st, on the high side during a wild sequence of events after a restart for stalled leader Cody Baker with 6 laps to go. When the dust settled on this one the (Topeka, Kansas) racer Burks driving the WBR 11w would take his 12th all-time feature win with the MWRA over Schudy of (Battlefield, Missouri) racing the Jon Sawyer Racing 28, Riley Kreisel of (Warsaw, Mo) running the DKR Motorsports 91, (Owasso, Ok’s) Hulsey behind the wheel of the Risley Trash Service 24H, and 5th finishing Brad Wyatt of (Kearney, Mo)piloting the Valor Racing 41.
Baker of (Lone Jack, Mo) made a mad dash to 6th after the restart narrowly losing out to Wyatt for a top 5 finish. This followed his car stalling out in turn one after leading the first 20 laps of the A feature. Dakota Earls of (Independence, Mo) would have a solid outing to finish 7th. With Braydon Cromwell of (Lone
Jack) racing his way to 8th. While Chris Parkinson (Gladstone, Mo) would rebound from issues in his heat race to come from last place (23rd) to 9th taking the Hard Charger award. Followed by his teammate Chad Winfrey also from (Gladstone) rounding out the the top 10 in the A feature which was a co-sanctioned event with the Western Iowa Non-wing Sprint Cars (WINS).
Heat races earlier in the program were won by Hulsey, defending (WINS) 2022 champ Cam Schafer of (Little Canada, Minnesota), and Baker. With A.J. Gilbert of (Tonganoxie, Ks), and Kreisel, taking the Richmond Gear Contingency boxes.
