Midwest Power Series gears up for Doubleheader weekend to open 2023 Season

Jackson, MN (May 25, 2023) Rob Kocak Photo - The Midwest Power Series 2023 season is set to kick off this coming weekend Friday & Saturday at two of the premier tracks in the country! A pair of $3k to win features and a $3k bonus for a weekend sweep are on the line.

Friday, May 26 will be the opening night for the 2023 schedule for Midwest Power Series. The season starts at the track that's been frequented more than any other and that's the Jackson Motorplex. A $3,000 to win feature is on tap to get things started. This will be the 24th visit to the Southern Minnesota facility in series history. Lee Grosz leads the way all time with 4 victories to his credit. Jack Dover and Justin Henderson each have 3. The Friday night portion of the weekend at Jackson will be ran with MSTS on the card as well making for two series running together again.

Saturday, May 27 the series heads South to the Sprint Car Capitol of the World. Knoxville Raceway plays host to the 2nd night of our double header for another $3,000 to win feature event. The track has played host 5 separate times in the past and Justin Henderson is the only driver with more than one victory, having won twice in Knoxville in MPS competition.

Speaking of Henderson, he's also the only driver to have claimed the weekend sweep bonus in Jackson and Knoxville, doing so in July of 2020. Another driver will have the chance to claim victory and a big payday if they can win both Friday and Saturday night.

You can catch all of the action on DIRTVision.com both nights if you are unable to make it to the track.
