LONGDALE, Okla. (May 23, 2023) On the rebound from an 11th place finish on Saturday at Longdale Speedway with the American Sprint Car Series, Sunday’s race ended violently after contact racing for fifth sent the Howard Moore flipping.
Starting Sunday off on a quick note, Moore landed on the front row of the A-Feature. Battling with Seth Bergman for the point through the opening six laps, Moore slipped to second but looked to be on track for a top-five run.
Going for the top side of the track in Turn 1 on Lap 19, Moore said in his interview that he didn’t realize he had a car to his right. Going over Whit Gastineau’s left front, the AR Dyno Specialty entry finally came to a rest after several flips.
Resulting in an 11th and 19th place finish collectively on the weekend, Moore will regroup and head for Lakeside Speedway on Friday, May 26, followed by Lake Ozark Speedway on Saturday, May 27, and Sunday, May 28.
