Rio Vista, CA – September 21, 2012…The King of the West Sprint Car Series is pleased to announce a new partnership with Hoosier Racing Tires for the upcoming season that will make the company the “official race tire” in 2013 for the tour.
Hoosier is the largest race tire manufacturer in the world and all Hoosier race tires are still proudly "Made in the USA." The company continues to be privately owned and operated by the Newton family.
King of the West Sprint Car Series Managing Director Dan Simpson is excited to sign with Hoosier for the upcoming season to align all winged sprint car series and tracks in California with the same tire. “This will be great for west coast sprint car racing and will help unify the sport out here by having everyone on Hoosier Racing Tires. We are looking forward to our new partnership and can’t wait for next season to roll around.”
Hoosier Racing Tire Sales Manager Paul Menting shared the same sentiment about the upcoming season. “On behalf of Hoosier Tire corporate and Hoosier Tire West we are really excited about partnering up with the King of the West Series for next year. Hoosier has had a long tradition in sprint car racing and we’re eager to showcase our tires with KWS and 410 sprint car racing out west.”
Hoosier has grown to be one of the largest employers in Plymouth, Indiana, and produces over 1000 different types of race tires. The company has its own 300-mph test wheel; a technology center; state-of-the-art, fully-integrated production facilities; and a model sales and distribution network in Lakeville, Indiana, which others seek to emulate.
The pride that exists among those associated with Hoosier "family" continues to be the focal point of the success the company has enjoyed over the years. Bob and Joyce, as well as others involved in the racing industry, marvel at the success and growth of the original business they started over 50 years ago. This philosophy has been, and will continue to be, the secret behind Hoosier's success in building "Tires Designed for Champions."
