EAGLE, Neb. (May 7, 2023) Taking in two nights of racing this past weekend, Mother Nature dictated the destination for Cole Vanderheiden, with the team turning their IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car towards U.S. 36 Raceway on Friday, and Eagle Raceway on Saturday.
Redirected by rain to the high-banked Missouri oval, Cole struggled in the Heat race. Rolling out 11th in the A-Feature, Cole ended up ninth.
Trading one high-banked oval for another, Eagle Raceway yielded Cole's best finish of the season. Second in his Heat Race, that alighted the No. 15v fifth for the A-Feature. Running show the first half, Cole slipped to fourth before having to take evasive action. Pushed to ninth, Cole fought back to finish seventh.
Three nights this coming weekend, the team will head to Beatrice Speedway on Friday, May 12. Back at Eagle on Saturday, May 13, the final stop on Sunday, May 14 is Huset's Speedway.
