Bryan Hulbert – WHEATLAND, Mo. (May 2, 2023) Taking on the 12th annual Impact Signs Awnings Wraps Open Wheel Showdown on Saturday, May 6, the ASCS Sooner Region will travel across state lines to take on the ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.
$2,000 to win and $300 to start for ASCS competitors; the night will also include the POWRi Wingless Auto Racing League and the POWRi National Midget League.
First contested in 2012, Randy Martin won the inaugural Impact Signs Awnings Wraps Open Wheel Showdown. Seth Bergman added his name to the list of winners in 2022. Tennessee’s Brandon Hanks remains the only repeat winner, doing so in 2016 and 2019. Other winners include Randy Hibbs (2014), Jonathan Cornell (2015), Brad Loyet (2017), Logan Seavey (2018), and Ryan Timms (2021). The 2013 event was lost to rain, while 2020 was canceled due to the pandemic.
Saturday, May 6, at Lucas Oil Speedway, tickets are $25 for Adults, $22 for Seniors (62+), $10 for Youth (6-15), and free for Kids five and under. Family Pass is $60. Pits are $45. All gates open at 4:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 6:00 P.M. and Racing at 7:05 P.M. (CDT). Lucas Oil Speedway is located at 18842 Speedway Dr. in Wheatland, Mo. The weekend originally included Friday at Lake Ozark Speedway; however, a scheduling conflict caused the Friday event to be canceled.

The 2023 season will mark the 32nd year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.
