Bryce Norris took part in the 2023 lid lifter at Jacksonville Speedway (Jacksonville, Illinois) on Friday, where 18 305 Sprint Cars signed in to compete on the quarter-mile, high-banked dirt oval.
The native of Terre Haute, Indiana, started second in his heat race and led all eight laps in his Haute Hospitality No. 37 Sprinter, putting him on the outside of the front row for the 20-lap A-Main.
Norris got off to a quick start but ran into trouble and came home 16th without being able to complete the scheduled distance.
