Jordan Ryan and MAR Motorsports show speed at two Ohio tracks

MAR Motorsports and driver Jordan Ryan took part in two Sprint Car shows on Friday and Saturday in the Buckeye State, competing in the stout A-Mains at both events.

On Friday, they were among 41 of the nation’s top 410 Sprint Car teams at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, for the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions Core and Main Spring Nationals.

Ryan was 30th quick in qualifying, putting the Cassandra J M Mayer Attorney at Law No. 25R in the fifth starting position for his heat race on the 1/3-mile clay oval. The Castalia, Ohio, driver came home in the same spot, relegating him to the B-Main.

Ryan improved four positions in the “B,” good enough to finish in the runner-up position and earn a spot in the 35-lap, $6,000-to-win main event.

Ryan had a right-rear tire go down during parade laps, but after a quick fix, marched forward in the race, passing eight cars to come home 14th after officially starting 22nd on the grid.

On Saturday, the team moved to Wayne County Speedway (Orrville, Ohio) to take part in the FAST on Dirt series during the 3/8-mile oval’s opening night.

Ryan was third quickest of 31 cars in qualifying and transferred to the 30-lap main event with a fourth-to-third effort in his heat race.

Ryan started on the pole and ran near the front early but mechanical issues ultimately forced him to the work area, resulting in a 22nd-place finish.
