Inside Line Promotions – ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. (March 22, 2023) – Big Game Motorsports driver David Gravel garnered a top-10 result last Saturday during the Low-E Insulation Spring Showdown finale.
Gravel’s 10th-place result at Lincoln Speedway placed him second in the standings for the six-race event, which was shortened to only three races because of rainouts. He continues to lead the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series championship standings.
Following a rainout on Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., the action last weekend began on Saturday with Gravel qualifying third quickest in his group. A heat race win locked him into the dash, in which a sixth-place finish lined him up on the outside of the third row in the main event.
Gravel battled for a top five early before hanging on for a 10th-place result.
The team heads south this weekend to race on Friday at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala., during the Talladega Sprint Car Showdown and on Saturday at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss., during the World of Outlaws Black Ice Brawl.
Gravel drove from sixth to win the last World of Outlaws event at Talladega Short Track in 2011. It marked his first career win with the series. Additionally, Gravel finished sixth during his debut at Magnolia Motor Speedway in 2021.
