With his weekend with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series axed by Mother Nature, Ryan Timms hopped behind the wheel of the Joe B. Miller Motorsports No. 97 Outlaw Micro for the Milestone Home Services Outlaw Sprint Nationals at Port City Raceway (Tulsa, Okla.).
Amassing a stout field of 86 NOW600 Outlaw Micros for the doubleheader event, Timms followed up an eighth-place showing in his qualifier with a ninth-to-sixth run in his heat. Challenging for a transfer position in his C-Main, Ryan missed a transfer spot into B-Main with a fifth-place finish.
On Saturday, Ryan’s fourth-place showing in his heat relegated him into the B-Main. Needing to place sixth or better to make the $10,000-to-win Outlaw Sprint Nationals finale, Timms logged a 12th-place outing.
