ASCS Southwest Region Racing Two Nights at Central Arizona Raceway

Bryan Hulbert – CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (March 6, 2023) Lifting the lid on the 2023 season this weekend, the ASCS Southwest Region will take on the high-banked Central Arizona Raceway on Friday, March 10, and Saturday, March 11.

Absent from the ASCS Southwest lineup since 2021, the series' last visit went the way of California’s Justin Sanders after chasing New Mexico’s Wes Wofford through the opening 19 revolutions. To date, 213 ASCS Southwest A-Features have been contested, with wins going to 62 drivers since 2008.

Friday, March 10, and Saturday, March 11, Pits open at 2:00 P.M., Grandstands at 4:00 P.M., with racing at 6:00 P.M. (MT). Admission is $20 for adults, $18 for Senior and Military, $15 for Students (12-17), and free for Youth (11 and under). Pit Passes are $35. Central Arizona Raceway is located behind the Pinal County Fairgrounds at 512 S. Eleven Mile Corner.

In addition to the ASCS Southwest Region, Challenge Cup Sprint Cars, NOW600 Cactus Region Outlaw Non-Wing Micros, Mini Late Models, Pure Stocks, and Junior Sprints will be on hand both nights. NOW600 Micros will headline with Kyle Busch and Matt Crafton.

The 2023 season will mark the 32nd year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.
