KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 20, 2012) - The non-profit National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Foundation has set the end of business on Tuesday, September 4, as the deadline for individuals to purchase its eighth “Members Only” die-cast sprint car, which is the famous Rick Ferkel-driven #0 sprint car from 1984. The 2012 die-cast, produced by R&R Enterprises exclusively for the museum to support its annual membership program, honors 1990 Hancock County (Ohio) Sports Hall of Fame and 1995 National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee Rick Ferkel. In fact, Rick Ferkel was runner-up to champion Steve Kinser in the inaugural year for the World of Outlaws.
