POWRi Lightning Sprint National Championship Chase Begins

Belleville, IL. (2/21/2023) Escalating momentum from the inaugural year successes based on great regional series racing action, the POWRi National Lightning Sprint Championship returns in 2023 as an added incentive for drivers to contend for as well as the yearly regional series titles in the Midwest, Minn-Kota, Rocky Mountain, and Southwest Lightning Sprint Series.

Starting the season out west, the Southwest Lightning Sprint Series will hold the first pair of features for the 2023 season with a trip to Imperial Valley Speedway in Imperial California on March 10-11.

Competing members will earn points based on a sliding scale system, as fifteen entries are considered a full field and receive full points, with the best fifteen performances throughout the season judged in the yearly points chase. The highest points earner from the season will gain the honor of the 2023 POWRi Lightning Sprint National Points Champion. Special Thanks to Tomy Moreau, with Henchcraft Chassis Canada, for increasing the overall point-fund value as well as being instrumental in the further growth of the division.
