Bryan Hulbert - Tulsa, Oklahoma (August 8, 2012) With the Arnold Motor Supply ASCS Knoxville Nationals in the books, the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV hits the road for a mini Speedweek that encompasses Kansas and Oklahoma.
Kicking off at Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kansas on Tuesday August 14th, the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV will then see races on August 16th at Salina Speedway in Salina, Kansas. Both races will be a series first making the list at 127 and 128. Heading out of the “Sun Flower State”, racing continues at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on August 17th before the series second visit to Lawton Speedway in 2012 on August 18th.
By the numbers going into Kansas and Oklahoma, a total of 1,095 laps have been contested in A-Feature competition with current Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV point’s leader Jason Johnson having led 173 of those laps. Wayne Johnson has shown the way for 149 laps with Tony Bruce Jr. and Brady Bacon tied with 121 laps out front. Coming off his first Lucas Oil ASCS victory at the Santa Maria Speedway, Brad Loyet rounds out the top five lap leaders with 104. In all thirty-one drivers have led at least one lap during Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV feature events in 2012.
In number of drivers past in feature competition Jason Johnson sits atop the stats with 212 cars past. Brady Bacon trails having past 146 drivers with Wayne Johnson and Brad Loyet tied at 109. Tony Bruce Jr. has past 104 drivers this year in A-Feature competition.
Jason Johnson also leads the field in feature wins this year with eight. Wayne Johnson currently has seven wins with Brady Bacon taking five wins in 2012. Tony Bruce Jr. has a trio of wins with Danny Lasoski and Shane Stewart each with two. Danny Wood, Dustin Morgan, Seth Bergman, Jason Martin, Brian Brown, Cody Baker, Jordan Boston, Brock Lemley, Mason Moore, Brad Loyet, and Brooke Tatnell each have a single A-feature win in 2012.
In heat race competition, five drivers each have 10 race wins out of the 161 run with Brady Bacon, Tony Bruce Jr., Logan Forler, Jason Johnson, and Brad Loyet making up the five drivers.
